Xi'an's football heart has a new body. After the old Shaanxi club's long soap opera, the city's support poured into Shaanxi United (陕西联合月亮泊), which climbed into China League One (中甲, the second tier) and for 2026 moved its home games into the brand-new Xi'an International Football Center in Fengdong New Town. Xi'an fans are famous in China — loud, numerous, and starved of success — which makes the atmosphere disproportionate to the division. If you want to see Chinese crowd culture at full volume, this is the cheapest ticket in the country for it.
What tickets cost and how to get them
Walk-up tickets run ¥50–480 by tier, with VIP seats at the top end; season tickets start around ¥600 — extraordinary value if you're in town for months. Big matches (Xi'an derbies, promotion run-ins) genuinely sell out; routine midweek games you can often buy on matchday.
The stadium and getting there
The Xi'an International Football Center sits in Fengdong New Town west of the metro network — allow 45–60 minutes from the center; Metro Line 5 towards Innovation Port plus a short DiDi covers it, and match days run shuttle buses from key stations. For city-center sports spectacle, the Olympic Sports Center (奥体中心, in Chanba — the 2021 National Games stadium) hosts the biggest one-off events; check what's on while you're in town.
Matchday survival
Arrive an hour early: security is airport-style (passport, bag scan). The away-fans section is segregated and ticketed separately — don't buy a ticket in the wrong end. Beer inside is low-alcohol and often unavailable; the pre-match fan zones outside are where the singing happens. Learn one chant — follow the drum, shout what the stand shouts — and you'll make fifty friends.
