The stadium
Purpose-built for football — steep single-tier stands close to the pitch, no running track — which is still rare in China and makes the noise brutal. It sits in Fengdong New Town west of the metro core; on matchdays the club runs shuttle buses from key stations. Events beyond football (concerts, big occasions) rotate through it — check what's on during your dates.
Going to a match
Tickets ¥50–480 with passport real-name purchase and entry — the step-by-step is in watching football in Xi'an. Arrive an hour early for airport-style security, sit with the home end for the atmosphere (away sections are ticketed separately), and learn one chant from the drum. Season tickets from ~¥600 if you're staying long.

If you have a free evening or weekend day and any curiosity about Chinese crowd culture: unreserved yes — it's loud, safe, cheap and utterly local.
