Line 4 · Xi'an Station (西安站)
Xi'an Station (西安站) is the conventional-rail terminus: the slower overnight expresses, T- and K-series trains, and some regional services. It's right next to the north city wall — you can walk to the old town — which makes it convenient even when the train isn't fast. High-speed trains do NOT use this station; they arrive at Xi'an North.
What arrives here
Xi'an Station handles conventional rail — overnight sleeper expresses to Beijing and Shanghai, T/K-series trains, and regional services within Shaanxi. It's the closer, older station, sitting just north of the Ming city wall in Xincheng District.
If you're on a high-speed bullet train (G/D/C), you want Xi'an North, not here. See the railway stations overview for the full picture.
Getting in and out
Metro Line 4 stops at Xi'an Railway Station, linking it to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the south of the city. The station is within walking distance of the north city wall and the old town — useful if your hotel is inside the walls. Taxis and DiDi are plentiful at the square outside.
