The 2021 National Games' centerpiece — a silvery main stadium plus indoor halls, arranged along the Ba River in the Chanba district. By day it's modern-Xi'an architecture (the modern city guide covers this side); by night on event days it's the biggest crowd in town. Concert capacity and scale beat every other venue in the city.

Metro Line 14 stops at the venue's own station (奥体中心); leave early, security is stadium-grade, and expect a post-show DiDi queue — the riverside walks it off nicely.

Worth the trip only if you're combining it with the Chanba riverside or a football match at the International Football Center across town. Since 2026, though, you can also come to work out for free: the stadium's inner-field running track opened to the public on 2026-01-29 (08:00–18:00, summer 06:30–19:30) and the outdoor basketball courts followed on 2026-03-20 — note the track has been paused for renovation since 2026-07-16 (reopen date unannounced), with a substitute annex-field track daily 6:00–9:00 via North Gate 3.
